A Date in Korean Restaurant

Hello there! :)

How was your weekend going? Mine was pretty enjoyable. Hehe. Jo and I went for korean food on our late Saturday date. Yep, late! It was almost 8pm when he arrived at my house. But, who cares? As long as we enjoy ourselves and have fun. In fact, I wanted to try the newest thai or korean restaurant in Multatuli. Jo opted for korean food and we thought it would be better if we went to the old one as we had given it "two thumbs up" haha.

So, we went for K-Pot. I think it is the first korean restaurant in town if I'm not mistaken. We ordered only two things: budae jjigae and something bulgogi (pork).

As always before our order came. Tara!!!

These are our orders.
Budae jjigae
Something bulgogi ( I forget the name x.x)
Budae jjigae was quite a big bowl for two persons, of course. And the bulgogi was served with quite a big amount. The picture didn't do justice. (or maybe it was me :p) I thought what we ordered could actually serve four people. Somehow, it was only two of us and we managed to finish everything. Yay to our tummy! haha..Well, except  for some vegetables in budae jjigae. I am not a fan of those vegetables and Jo was too full to finish it. So, yeah..

Fyi, the taste of budae jjigae soup was quite different to the last one we had. I felt this time it tasted better. The one before that tasted like tteokbokki sauce. I like it this way.

Ohya, I forgot to take picture of the drink. It was the newest drink called Sjora Mango Punch. It tasted very good and fresh. Maybe you should give it a try if you happen to visit this restaurant.

PS: We ended our date with eating Feast ice cream! (although we were already full  >.<)

Review: Revlon Colorburst BalmStain

Pretty color, isn't it? :D

I have been searching for one perfect light pink shade for my lips. I have one pink lipstick before from Etude's minnie range. But it is probably a better match for people with cooler tone than me. For me, that one is too 'pinkish'.

Last month, I went out with my friend, Sylvia, to eat gelato. She posted about our trip and what flavors we got to taste on her blog since it was 'all-you-can-eat'. We may eat as many as we want. You can check her blog on sylvlam.blogspot.com

Okay, back to our topic. After eating, we went to Parkson to check out some things and saw this Revlon Colorburst BalmStain. There were so many colors to choose from. At first, I didn't plan to purchase (although I have tried it on my hand and thought it was a pretty color), remembering how many lipstick I had owned and not even finished every half tube of them. Sylvia and I had headed to parking lot before we stopped at the main gate, and decided to go back to the counter. I mean what's wrong with us? Why did we have to reach the main gate and decided that we wanted it?

I was so tempted to purchase it because the first time I tried on the back of my hand, it looked glossy like usual lipgloss. Then I put it back to check out other things. Probably it was about two metres from the counter, I checked the back on my hand and it was not glossy anymore. It became like stain, not sticky at all. And when I slightly rubbed it, the color was still there. How cool that is! I never saw a stain like that before. And the color was so pretty >.< It is 025 in Sweetheart Valentine

Revlon Colorburst BalmStain in 025 Sweetheart Valentine
So, this is a retractable chubby crayon which makes it more interesting to use. I get the feeling to 'color' my lips with jumbo pencil color. Haha.. I have tried it for several times and I think the staying power is amazing!!! It won't come off even after I had my drink or foods. I have a habit to wipe my lips during my meals which means there will be more than three swipes. I check my lips after my meals and it was still there, except the gloss. It is called 'balmstain' afterall. It will turn to stain after a while, but the color is still there for real. Just put some lipgloss if you like a glossier look.

Tell me in the comment section what do you think of this if you have tried one :D

Pray For Nepal

I am so sad to see what happens in Nepal. Massive earthquake struck them in the middle of the night and now leave them debris. Hundreds are killed and trapped under the debris. Death toll has even risen to over 4,000 now. They are homeless and lack of food. Some of them lose their families. Aftershocks still struck. I watched a video in instagram, people were taking video of a building, within seconds collapsed to ground caused by the aftershock.

Then I found Michelle Phan (a  youtuber) posted about how we can donate to help people in Nepal. So, there is this girl named Promise Tamang in instagram. She is rasing funds to help rebuild Nepal. If you are interested in donating,
  1. check her page on instagram @promisetamang
  2. click the link in her bio.
  3. click "Donate Now"
  4. fill the blank space about how much you want to donate and your name (you can appear anonymous)
  5. click "Continue"
  6. fill the blank space about your credit card.
  7. DONE
It is so simple. I know it sounds ridiculous to donate to someone who you don't know. You can read about her story why she is doing this on her instagram or her gofundme.com page. What convinces me the most is that Tarte Cosmetics made a huge donation of $5,000. That is why I'm sharing this with you about her page. Just donate what you can. Every dollar counts.

A Way To Start Your Day :)

I am not normally listening to the radio in the morning. Only if I have to go out and drive, then I'll turn on the radio to accompany my journey. Today was one of those days. Jo and I had to meet someone. Due to heavy rain, I thought the day will be dull. I kept on thinking "I don't like rain". The heavier the rain, the more I kept repeating the sentence over and over again. I really don't like rain. Heavy rains for me is not something good. Grey clouds and loud noise from pouring rain can put me into 'straight face'

Listening to one of the famous radio channels in the town was not wasting my time. The announcers, Desta and Gina from Prambors Radio were very funny. They really made my day. The songs played were also very nice. I sang along. Since then I put a smile on my face unconsciously. No more unhappy face. I thought Jo felt the same thing, too. I didn't do anything funny, just having fun myself. Discussing something excited for us at the moment or just playing around. Nothing extraordinary. However, he kept telling me I am so funny.

This brought me to a happy mood throughout the day. I feel more relaxed and calm. It continued until late in the afternoon. I was feeling well when I taught my students. And I'm feeling happy until now. No tension at all. I do think it is the matter of how you start your day in the morning. It is important to set up your mood throughout the day. If you are having good mood, it is good not only for yourself but also for your surroundings. People are comfortable to be around you. Results? You are not only happy, but also get more friends :D

Share with me what positive things you do to start your day :)

OOTD: White on Cream

Yep, it's a matching #ootd with Jo. I was very surprised and HAPPY when I met him in the same colour outfit with me. Haha.. We have had same colour for our tops before, accidentally of course. But never in the whole outfit like we did last Sunday. It's meant to be, like us. Don't you think? ;)
Love you <3

Contest Winning Novel - Mahogany Hills

Two persons married not because of love. How and why do you think it can happen?

It is all in Mahogany Hills written by Indonesian writer, Tia Widiana. Jagad Arya as the man character hates to be married with Paras Ayunda. He always thinks of the reason why Paras chooses him, not the other man. Meanwhile, Paras is very patient in dealing with Jagad with all his arrogance and annoying behavior. Both of them keep their own secrets. At one moment, probably you will question how it is possible for two persons who live in the same house and sleep in the same room, but never meet and talk like in few days.

I don't usually like contest winning novel because of its wordings. It's too difficult for me to understand. However, this one is an exception. The storyline is very good and flowing, made me want to keep reading it to the end. And I did. I finished it in one night because I was too curious about the ending. hehe..

I think it is a good book to read, though I will recommend this only to people above 18 due to the content in some parts of the book ;) By the way, I find this book is on 15% discount on gramediaonline.com. Go buy it before the sale ends.

*This book is recommended by my friend. Thank you so much <3 If you are reading this, you know who you are. :*

Pinterest Excitement

Hello Monday! I have never thought that Pinterest has it all. Look at this

this

and THIS!!!

Pinterest has caught me in the heart. Everything is so beautiful. I was searching for wedding color palette. Googling it and found some pictures were actually from pinterest but I couldn't see it well because it required to sign in to see the pins. Clicked another picture and kept coming back on the same thing, so, I thought why not make an account, it won't do any harm, right?

And it doesn't. In fact, I spent more than two hours on my first time looking at all those beautiful pictures on Pinterest. This is like an 'inspiration ocean' for me. And I am very happy =D

*all pictures are not mine. either I got it from Pinterest or google and pin it to Pinterest,

How I wish...

I know I should be grateful for what I have already had but look at that amazing sky! Blue sky with long stripe of clouds. Yellow and orange are becoming one and merged themselves into dark grey. I have never seen that sky in my town. Recently, it has been very hot like hot times three!!! Sun shines too bright and even after 6.30pm the sky is still very bright.

Needless to say, witnessing the greatest sunset view in my hometown really makes me willing to move to places with beaches. You know, like Bali or other similar places. I don't mind the high temperature (actually I like those girls with tan skin. I personally think that they are very 'hot'). How can that place be so wrong if I can watch sunset like everyday in my life.

You know, that night I saw so many stars spread around in the loneliest black sky. I was thinking maybe we could sit there for a while to watch all the sparkly stars twinkle. But it was not possible, because as you can see it is a parking area.

My Skincare Routine

Hey everyone! I'm back here to share with you my skincare routine that I've been having recently.

Here are the sequence: toner - serum - moisturizer - blemish control - sunscreen

1. Skin [mal:gem] fresh - Etude House
This is an oil control toner with a fresh scent which I like very much. I use this mostly at night after I wash my face as a toner. If I am too lazy or run out of cotton, I just spray it on my face and do a little 'tap tap' on my face. Actually this product can be used as a toner and as a facial mist to freshen up your look when you are out. When you feel you look dull and have that tired face after being outside for quite a long time, just spray this toner onto your face and you will feel fresher. It does bring 'some life' to your face ;)

2. Green tea seed serum - Innisfree
After applying toner, I put serum as my next routine. This is by far my favourite serum. It really works on me. I feel that applying this serum is a very good choice of mine because I can see difference after a few days using this. My face looks glowing and "tuing tuing" springy haha (I can't find a proper word to describe it x.x) It just feels so good. That's why this is my second bottle of it. But, I feel that the consistency of this new one is a little bit different from my old one. I think it's not very concentrated like my old one and the scent is also not the same. I don't know whether it's because Innisfree has changed its content or there is any other reasons. Could someone please tell me if you know?

3.  Green tea seed cream - Innisfree
Next step is applying moisturizer which most people say that it's a must. Actually I bought this because of a recommendation from a friend of mine. She sells beauty stuffs and at that time I want to find a moisturizer that suits my oily skin. I want to moisturize my skin but don't like to make it looks greasy. This is what she recommended and I love it. Usually my face will be oily the next day I wake up in the morning. But, by using this, my face is not that oily like when I used my other moisturizer. It doesn't break me out, too which is great! That is the reason I purchase another one after I finished my first one.

4. Blemish control daily skin-clearing treatment - Kiehl's
I put this only on my red spot and acne marks. It has salicylic acid in it which helps with acne. I find this stuff helps a lot with my acne marks but it is not instant. You have to be patient with it. If your acne is really small, yes it is quick in clearing it up. I need like 3-4 days for the small acne to flatten and need some more days for the mark to reduce. I also use a mask which contains of green tea, oat, and rice milk to speed up the reducing mark process.

5. Sunprise water essence - Etude House
I use this on top of my blemish control just because the girl on the Kiehl's counter told me to put on sunscreen if I'm going out with the blemish control. I ever went out without sunscreen just on its own and my face turned very red especially on the red spots when it came to very hot days. Although it's water essence, it can feel greasy on me if I apply too much. So, I just pour it out a little bit on my fingers and rub it between my fingers before applying on my face. And please take note I only do a 'tap tap' on my face because by rubbing it, it leaves my skin looks greasy even before I am out from my house.

So, that's my skincare routine. I hope you like this kind of post :)

PS: the green tea seed serum is worth your try ;) It's so good that I'll recommend it to anybody >.<
