Pray For Nepal

I am so sad to see what happens in Nepal. Massive earthquake struck them in the middle of the night and now leave them debris. Hundreds are killed and trapped under the debris. Death toll has even risen to over 4,000 now. They are homeless and lack of food. Some of them lose their families. Aftershocks still struck. I watched a video in instagram, people were taking video of a building, within seconds collapsed to ground caused by the aftershock.

Then I found Michelle Phan (a  youtuber) posted about how we can donate to help people in Nepal. So, there is this girl named Promise Tamang in instagram. She is rasing funds to help rebuild Nepal. If you are interested in donating,
  1. check her page on instagram @promisetamang
  2. click the link in her bio.
  3. click "Donate Now"
  4. fill the blank space about how much you want to donate and your name (you can appear anonymous)
  5. click "Continue"
  6. fill the blank space about your credit card.
  7. DONE
It is so simple. I know it sounds ridiculous to donate to someone who you don't know. You can read about her story why she is doing this on her instagram or her gofundme.com page. What convinces me the most is that Tarte Cosmetics made a huge donation of $5,000. That is why I'm sharing this with you about her page. Just donate what you can. Every dollar counts.

A Way To Start Your Day :)

I am not normally listening to the radio in the morning. Only if I have to go out and drive, then I'll turn on the radio to accompany my journey. Today was one of those days. Jo and I had to meet someone. Due to heavy rain, I thought the day will be dull. I kept on thinking "I don't like rain". The heavier the rain, the more I kept repeating the sentence over and over again. I really don't like rain. Heavy rains for me is not something good. Grey clouds and loud noise from pouring rain can put me into 'straight face'

Listening to one of the famous radio channels in the town was not wasting my time. The announcers, Desta and Gina from Prambors Radio were very funny. They really made my day. The songs played were also very nice. I sang along. Since then I put a smile on my face unconsciously. No more unhappy face. I thought Jo felt the same thing, too. I didn't do anything funny, just having fun myself. Discussing something excited for us at the moment or just playing around. Nothing extraordinary. However, he kept telling me I am so funny.

This brought me to a happy mood throughout the day. I feel more relaxed and calm. It continued until late in the afternoon. I was feeling well when I taught my students. And I'm feeling happy until now. No tension at all. I do think it is the matter of how you start your day in the morning. It is important to set up your mood throughout the day. If you are having good mood, it is good not only for yourself but also for your surroundings. People are comfortable to be around you. Results? You are not only happy, but also get more friends :D

Share with me what positive things you do to start your day :)

Thanks for reading

OOTD: White on Cream

Yep, it's a matching #ootd with Jo. I was very surprised and HAPPY when I met him in the same colour outfit with me. Haha.. We have had same colour for our tops before, accidentally of course. But never in the whole outfit like we did last Sunday. It's meant to be, like us. Don't you think? ;)
Love you <3

Contest Winning Novel - Mahogany Hills

Two persons married not because of love. How and why do you think it can happen?

It is all in Mahogany Hills written by Indonesian writer, Tia Widiana. Jagad Arya as the man character hates to be married with Paras Ayunda. He always thinks of the reason why Paras chooses him, not the other man. Meanwhile, Paras is very patient in dealing with Jagad with all his arrogance and annoying behavior. Both of them keep their own secrets. At one moment, probably you will question how it is possible for two persons who live in the same house and sleep in the same room, but never meet and talk like in few days.

I don't usually like contest winning novel because of its wordings. It's too difficult for me to understand. However, this one is an exception. The storyline is very good and flowing, made me want to keep reading it to the end. And I did. I finished it in one night because I was too curious about the ending. hehe..

I think it is a good book to read, though I will recommend this only to people above 18 due to the content in some parts of the book ;) By the way, I find this book is on 15% discount on gramediaonline.com. Go buy it before the sale ends.

*This book is recommended by my friend. Thank you so much <3 If you are reading this, you know who you are. :*
